Nice to meet you
Hi, I’m Alecia (uh-lee-see-uh) — an instructional designer who believes that learning should be as engaging as it is empowering.
Armed with a Master’s in Instructional Design and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, I’m passionate about creating workplace training that doesn’t just check a box, but actually makes a difference — especially when it comes to leadership and professional development. From revamping onboarding programs to crafting dynamic workshops and instructor-led trainings, I design learning experiences that are interactive, intentional, and built to stick.
I’m skilled in tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud — and I have a secret weapon: a deep mastery of Microsoft Office (yes, even the fun parts of Excel), using every trick and workaround to create truly effective and polished products.
When I'm not busy designing courses or fine-tuning a new graphic, you can find me hanging out with my incredible husband at a live music festival, trying new foods, or camping under the stars with our sweet furbaby, Lukey. 🐾

My Approach
I believe learning should never be a "sit-and-get" experience. Every project is an opportunity to create something interactive, engaging, and, most importantly, useful.
I design with the learner's real-world needs in mind, making sure every facilitator guide, eLearning course, and workshop is intuitive, practical, and easy to apply. My goal is to prevent glazed-over eyes and cognitive overload by crafting experiences that invite participation, not just observation — all while ensuring inclusivity and accessibility are woven into every detail.
When I approach a project, I start by aligning closely with my client to understand the desired outcomes. Using a backwards design philosophy, I define what learners should know and do by the end, then build measurable objectives grounded in Bloom’s Taxonomy and refined through Mager’s principles. I’m a strong believer in choosing the right framework for the right situation — and whether it’s action mapping, strategic learning assessments, or intentional engagement techniques, I always aim to design experiences that make learning stick, not just happen.
